{"id":6628,"date":"2019-11-11T11:47:40","date_gmt":"2019-11-11T11:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vivreauportugalconsulting.com\/?p=6628"},"modified":"2019-11-11T11:47:41","modified_gmt":"2019-11-11T11:47:41","slug":"expatriate-tax-reform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vivreauportugalconsulting.com\/en\/reforme-de-la-fiscalite-des-expatries\/","title":{"rendered":"EXPATRIATE TAX REFORM: THINGS ARE CHANGING"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expatriate tax reform postponed for a year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The tax reform for non-resident French citizens, which was due to come into force in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vivreauportugalconsulting.com\/en\/taxation-of-non-residents\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">effective January 2020<\/span><\/a><\/strong> is postponed to January 1, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Government backtracking <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has finally decided to postpone by one year the tax reform for non-resident French citizens. This reform, which was supposed to bring the taxation of residents closer into line with that of non-residents, rightly aroused a great deal of concern among French expatriates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>This decision was adopted on October 15, via an amendment to the 2020 Finance Bill currently before the French National Assembly.
