These very good results are part of a general trend of good results. At the beginning of 2017. Portugal had 10,684 non-permanent residents (cumulatively since the new regime came into existence). In 2018, approximately 15,000 foreigners could benefit from this regime.

Besides the climate, safety and quality of life. In particular, it is the tax measures passed in Portugal in January 2013 that continue to attract foreign buyers. They still benefit from a tax exemption for 10 years on their income from abroad.

But Portugal has many other assets to offer! The sweetness of life is unanimously celebrated, the cost of living is advantageous (less than 35% than in France), and the geographical and cultural proximity is reassuring... the well-named "Florida of Europe" continues to attract a multitude of foreign investors and lovers of the country, who are determined to make their place in the sun!
