&NewLine;<div class="wp-block-cover has-background-dim has-left-content is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow" style="background-image:url(https://vivreauportugalconsulting.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/impot.jpg)"><p class="wp-block-cover-text">EXPATRIATE TAXES KEEPED AT 20 PERCENT FOR LOWEST INCOMES<br></p></div>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The French National Assembly adopted&comma; Friday December 14&period; An amendment to limit the impact of the income tax increase for French nationals living outside France&period; For the opposition&comma;&nbsp&semi;the new tax system nevertheless remains unfavorable to French nationals living abroad&period;&nbsp&semi;</strong></h3>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>New twist in the<a href="https://vivreauportugalconsulting.com/bercy-revoit-la-fiscalite-des-francais-de-letranger/"> Finance Bill 2019</a>&period; LREM deputies from the French abroad have proposed and passed a cap on the increase in Income Tax&period; L<strong>ncome from French sources of less than €27,700 will continue to be subject to the 20&percnt withholding tax;</strong>&period;</p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Last October&comma; the Government announced ".<em>A series of measures to overhaul the taxation of French nationals living abroad</em>&nbsp&semi;"&period; &nbsp&semi;Aiming to&nbsp&semi;"&nbsp&semi;<em>simplify and make fairer the tax for expatriates</em>The National Assembly had therefore adopted, on the government's proposal, a non-dischargeable withholding tax calculated by applying the default rate grid used for the withholding tax on residents' income, thereby raising the minimum tax rate applicable to the French-source income of French nationals living abroad from 20 to 30 per cent;</p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>At the same time, the CSG-CRDS was abolished only for non-residents of the European Union;<strong>A "&nbsp&semi;double penalty&nbsp&semi;" for our compatriots living outside Europe, who not only had to continue paying the 17&percnt; CSG on their property income&period; but also saw their income tax increase by 50&percnt; without any compensation.</strong>&period;&nbsp&semi;</p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<hr class="wp-block-separator"/>&NewLine;
