End of appointments in public services in Portugal

It was about time, since more than 1 year we had to take beforehand a appointment to access the different public services in Portugal, which had as a consequence the lengthening of certain procedures. According to the decontamination covid-19 approved by the Council of Ministers, access to the various state services will be without appointment from today.

End of appointments in public services in Portugal

The measure, which is part of the second phase of decontainment, was announced by the Minister of State and Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, on August 20. This measure is part of the second phase of decontainment, as it reached 70% of the population vaccinated against covid-19 on August 18.

This results in the end of appointments in public services in Portugal such as:

  • the Loja do cidadaõ,
  • Finance departments,
  • notary services
  • Social security
  • ....

From now on, you can go to these different services without an appointment. Please note that depending on the district, there may be restrictions depending on the incidence rate.
