The requests help for commercial rents will begin this Thursday, February 4, and payments should start reaching companies in the second half of February. The schedule was published in mid-January by Economy Minister Pedro Siza Vieira.
Applications for non-refundable commercial rental assistance start today
At stake is income support, already announced in December, for sole proprietorships, micro, small, medium and large companies with annual sales of less than €50 million.
Under the measure, companies whose sales fall between 25 % and 40 % will receive support equivalent to 30 % of the value of revenues, up to a maximum of 1,200 euros per month. For companies with sales losses in excess of 40 %, rental support will be equivalent to 50 % of these costs, up to a maximum of 2,000 euros per month.
The non-refundable assistance will target earnings in the first half of 2021, and the scheme will be the same as the assistance program. Interested companies can apply via Counter 2020.
