HEALTH COVERAGE FOR EXPATRIATE RETIREES RULES CHANGE
Retired people who decide to expatriate to Portugal have the unfortunate tendency to continue to benefit from health cover in France. This bad habit tends to exasperate French taxpayers, and rightly so. The French government, too, is beginning to lose patience with non-resident pensioners who take advantage of the RNH in Portugal and continue to receive medical treatment in France.
